Computers & Printing
Public Computer Stations
Public computers are available at both the Main Library and the Madison Branch for patrons who need to conduct online research, make use of office-style programs, access email, or use social media. Patrons may print up to twenty-five pages per day at no charge and ten cents for each additional page thereafter. One time internet passes are available for those who are not registered Lakewood Public Library cardholders. Public computers shut down automatically each evening at 8:40 p.m.
Wi-Fi
The Library provides robust wireless Internet access throughout the Main Library and Madison Branch for patrons with Wi-Fi capable equipment.
Chromebooks
Lakewood Public Library offers Chromebook laptops at both the Main Library and the Madison Branch for patrons to checkout and use in the Library. Chromebooks are available to all adult patrons whose library card is in good standing. Patrons who do not have a Lakewood Public Library card may get a one-time internet pass to use a Chromebook. The Chromebook will checkout on a patron’s card for one hour (with the exception of the closing hour), however if no one is waiting to use a Chromebook, then the patron may keep it longer.
Printing
Patrons may print up to twenty-five pages for free each day with a charge of 10¢ thereafter. Patrons are encouraged to bring their own flash drive, or they may purchase a flash drive at the front desk at the Main Library or Madison Branch for $2.00.
Patrons have multiple options for printing:
