Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with Octavio Noda
September 15 – October 15
Latin American Food Cocina Latina
National Hispanic Heritage Month (Mes nacional de la herencia hispana) is celebrated annually from September 15 to October 15 in the United States to recognize the rich contributions Hispanic Americans have made to the history, culture and achievements of the United States. Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by exploring Latin American food and cooking with Octavio Noda. From Argentina’s asado to Venezuela’s arepas, there is much to discover — and enjoy — about Latin food and cooking.
Octavio Noda is a photographer, Latin American film importer and distributor, and retired librarian. Octavio has been a good friend of the Lakewood Public Library, and a friend of many academic, public and school libraries throughout the country. Octavio has spent much of his career making Latin American resources, including films, available to libraries and their patrons.
As our friend Octavio would say, Buen provecho!
