STRATEGIC PLANNING AND GOALS
In January 2022, the Lakewood Public Library began planning for the next five years (2023-2027) of service to the community. This process allowed the Library to evaluate its current collections, services and programming; examine areas to be enhanced or expanded; and set goals.
The Library’s Strategic Plan identifies five goals, the completion of which will sustain, strengthen and improve the Library’s services to its customers, both external and internal. These goals follow.
Focus on providing an excellent patron experience.
Expand Library outreach.
Strengthen a Library culture that embraces diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
Enhance community awareness of and access to the Library’s collections, services and programing.
Heighten the Library’s knowledge of the community it serves.
