A Visit with Abraham Lincoln
Journey back in time to April 12, 1865. It has been two days since the surrender of Robert E. Lee's army. The Civil War is all but over, and Abraham Lincoln is speaking at Ford's theater to raise money for widows and orphans. Relieved from the burden of war, the President speaks frankly on the conflict and other topics, at times with his usual sense of humor.
Mel Maurer, a member, past president, and past Historian of the Cleveland Civil War Roundtable, performs as President Lincoln.
