Madison Branch Photos
The Madison Branch was constructed in 1929 by renowned architecture firm, Walker & Weeks, the same firm that built Severance Hall and other important Cleveland landmarks.
In early 2022, the Madison Branch was rededicated after a renovation to bring the beloved library up-to-date and restore the building’s original charm. This most recent renovation was led by the award-winning firm, HBM Architects, of Cleveland.
The renovation restored elements of the library’s early appearance, most notably by bringing the Palladian windows into public view and bringing back the high ceilings and skylights to the main floor. A modest addition was incorporated and ADA-compliant, unisex restrooms were added to enhance accessibility.
Lakewood resident and professional real estate commercial photographer, Dan Morgan of Straight Shooter Photography, photographed the renovated Madison Branch. Morgan has worked with Sotheby’s Auction House and a number of high-end retailers including Kate Spade.
Roger Mastroianni is a Cleveland-based location and architectural photographer. Mastroianni is the house photographer for Great Lakes Theater Festival, Cleveland Play House and the internationally renowned Cleveland Orchestra. Mastroianni photographed the Madison Branch shortly after the renovation was completed.
