The Importance of STEM and STEM Education Presentation by Jeffrey Csank

Jeffrey Csank is an electrical engineer in the Power Management and Distribution Branch at the NASA Glenn Research Engineer in Cleveland. His work includes designing automated power systems for future deep space exploration missions and power systems for hybrid electric aircraft. Csank previously played a major role in the development of several software packages for the modeling and analysis of gas turbine engines and Gas Path Diagnostics. He received his Bachelor of Science and Master’s of Science of Electrical Engineering from Cleveland State University. Csank will give an overview of what exactly STEM is, and why the United States should be focusing on STEM education at all stages of learning, using examples from his experience working on space power system projects.
