The Great Gatsby (2013) Directed by Baz Luhrmann

Would-be writer Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire) moves to New York City during the roaring twenties in order to pursue the American dream. His new neighbor is the mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio), who is known for his lavish parties. It turns out that Nick’s own cousin Daisy (Carey Mulligan) is the inspiration behind Gatsby’s glittering bashes. Nick quickly finds himself drawn into Gatsby’s wealthy world of illusion, love and deceit. Based on the 1925 novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, this film continues our series of movies based on books.
