Film - Indignation (2016) Directed by James Schamus

In 1951, Marcus (Logan Lerman), a working-class Jewish atheist student from New Jersey, attends a small Ohio college, where he struggles with sexual repression and cultural disaffection amid the ongoing Korean War. He clashes with the established social order and his overbearing parents' hopes for his future. At the same time, he falls for an attractive, complicated classmate named Olivia (Sarah Gadon). Olivia is freethinking and sophisticated, but underneath her poised exterior she is as alienated as Marcus. Perhaps finding each other will help them both combat the tumultuous political climate and the negative stigma surrounding mental illness. Based on the 2008 novel by Philip Roth, this film continues our series of films based on books.
