Documentary: Running for Jim (2013) Directed by Robin Hauser, Dan Noyes Presented by 2nd Sole

Jim Tracy led his cross-country team to the state championship 9 times, a record for San Francisco University High School. Though diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig ’s disease) in 2010, Jim continued to inspire his team. That year, 16-year-old Holland Reynolds crossed the finish line to secure the championship. Rattled by dehydration and hypothermia, she collapsed and crawled to the win. Taking the focus off of Reynolds, Running for Jim gives us a look into Jim’s inspirational story and the facts of the disease. Producers Robin Hauser and Dan Noyes team up to tell the story of Jim’s resiliency and his team’s dedication to their sport and to their coach.
